I like Christmas, but I never got super excited about it the more I got older. You just kind of lose that festive spark after a while, or at least in my case I did. Now I’m a mum, my love for Christmas has come back again, thanks to my son. I get so excited getting him endless gifts, bringing our the Christmas tree and trying to make my home as festive as possible, all to leave him with lasting memories. I haven’t done many ‘blogmassy’ post although products I have mentioned in my December post thus far are very Christmas gift worthy (self promo ). So I saw this tag going around and read StyleBreakdown Christmas tag which I loved and thought ‘Hey I want to do the tag too’ So continue reading to see my Christmas Tag response!

1.What is your favourite Christmas Movie?

Its got to be The Holiday right! Completely Cheesy, Romantic and Festive, I love that film! Cameron Diaz is an utter babe and it was those periods when Jude Law was uber hot!

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

I think the only time its been snowing on Christmas Day in the whole 28 years of my life, is once, when I was like 7 or eight! The memory is so blurry, I could actually be wrong. lol

3.Where do you usually spend the holidays?

I always spend it at my mum’s but now Baby Splod is here, we go back and forth between me and my partners family.

4. Favourite Christmas Song?

Obviously without a second thought Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas”. As soon as it becomes acceptable to bang out that song, I have it on replay to my ears bleed! Its such a freaking good song!

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Ha! My mum is African, she don’t play no games! Everyone must wait till Christmas Day! lol

6. Can you name all of Santa’s Reindeer’s?

Well this is awkward.. erm… Rudolph, Dancer, Prancer, Randy, Sneezy, Happy, Aardvark?

7. What Holiday Traditions are you most looking forward too?

By far, the same tradition my family has every year, is that after we have our Christmas lunch, we always have a little nap and then wake up just in time to gorge onto more food and treats while watching all the drama from the Christmas Special TV Soaps, i.e. (Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale).

8. Is your tree Real or Fake?

Always fake. I’m not an outdoorsy person, so I’m not trying to have my home smelling all pine woody! Plus all the mess from a real tree is a headache, just thinking about it.

9. What is your holiday food/ sweet treat?

Ferrero Rocher! I will only ever eat it around Christmas time. It holds a lot of sentimental memories of being younger and my mum giving them out to me and my brother in the evening time.

10. What is the best gift you’ve ever received?

OK I’m going to be cheeky and go for two. The second one has a funny story behind it. The first one has to be my first ever bike. I remember begging my mum over and over again for a bike and she kept telling me no. So when I woke up on Christmas Day and saw it by the tree, I don’t think I have ever scream so loud. I was soooooo happy! Now the second one is a Ernest Jones Bracelet I got from my first ever “proper boyfriend” I was so shocked he bought it for me, because it was something I had being glazing over when we were window shopping one day and it was like Β£160 and bearing in mind we were only 16, it was the last thing I was expecting to receive. So the funny bit. Just imagine my and his reaction, when he gave me this amazing glitzy gift in front of a group of our friends and my gift back to him, was a Eskimo hat and gloves that equated to about Β£15 from Topman! I have never been so mortified and from that day on I’ve always gone the extra mile for gifts for my boyfriends.

11. What is your dream place to visit during the holiday season?

I have always wanted to go Switzerland or somewhere really cold and snowy for Christmas. Maybe one day eh?

12. Are you a pro-wrapper or do you fail miserably?

I would like to think I am a pro, but the reality is I’m probably really shit at it. The corners always bugger me!

13. Most memorable holiday moment?

HAHA!, your probably going to think I haven’t had much of a childhood, but my most memorably Christmas Day moment, has to be when my family were sitting down watching Eastenders and it was the episode when Ronnie finally found out that Danielle was her daughter and then flipping Janine ran Danielle over and killed her. We were actually shedding tears and in uproar about how the producers could do such a thing! I was contemplating calling Of-com for flip sakes! HAHA!

14. What made you realise the truth about Santa?

I’m not sure whether it was something I came to realise after a while, or whether my mum busted my bubble about it.

15. Do you make News Years Resolutions? If so, do you stick to them?

Yup. Every flipping year around the last week of December, I have an epiphany of all the shit I want to change in the following year, and all the achievements I’m going to aim for and I never stick to it. This year my resolution is to not have any resolutions. I’m just gonna work hard, be patient and see where this life takes me.

16. What makes the holidays special for you?

Honestly just being with the people I love. Everything can be shattering and collapsing around you, but with family you will always feel whole. (Yes I know, pass the sick bucket)

There’s my Christmas Tag guys. I tag for everyone who reads this to do it and leave your links below so I can read them! 11 Days left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
